The Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) reported that Thai secondary students, selected by OBEC to attend the Asian Pacific Math Olympiad 2013 in Indonesia, won 18 medals in the following four categories:
1.) Individual: Thai students were awarded two gold medals, three silver medals, six bronze medals, and one honorable certificate
2.) Team: First Runner-Up awards for teams A and B (two awards in total)
3.) Group: First Runners-Up awards for teams A and B, and a Second Runners-Up award for team C (three awards in total)
4.) The highest scores: The Second Runner-Up award for team A
The group of students and their mentors returned to Thailand on 3rd January 2014, at 8.10 pm on flight number GA 864 which arrived at Gate 3 on the 2nd Floor of the Passenger Terminal at Suvarnabhumi Airport.
