"Thing"

Yesterday (@19-2-14) what must have been tens of thousands of people peacefully besieged the Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, where caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck was thought to be hiding inside. Loud speeches were being delivered below in front of the roaring, whistling crowd. 

Three drones flew overhead. 

Then "Thing" appeared from a window high above the crowd.

"Thing" was nothing more than a hand. At first people simply watched it. They were constantly watching for snipers, who were unlikely to be in this military building. (Or at least extremely unlikely to shoot at protestors.)

Finally, "Thing" gave a thumb up, to which the crowd roared and returned with many thumbs up. Those watching and giving the speeches probably thought that the crowd was roaring for their words, when in fact Thing started to become a separate center of attention. And then Thing pointed a finger to above, to which the people saw as a sign from above. "Just show me a sign!"

Thing was trying to say something. Was Yingluck up above? Thing kept on for awhile, the crowd hanging on the slightest clue, and finally Thing disappeared back into the "box". 

We likely never will know what Thing was trying to say.

"สิ่ง"นี้ที่ไม่ใช่อะไรมากไปกว่ามือหนึ่ง ตอนแรกผู้คนแค่มองดูเฉยๆ พวกเค้าคอยมองดูคนซุ่มยิงเรื่อยๆ ซึ่งไม่น่าจะอยู่ในตึกในสังกัดกองทัพ (หรือ อย่างน้อยที่สุด ไม่น่าจะยิงผู้ชุมนุม)

ท้ายที่สุด "สิ่ง" นี้ก็ยกหัวแม่โป้งชึ้น ซึ่งฝูงชนก็โห่ร้องขึ้น แล้วก็ตอบกลับมาด้วยแม่โป้งอีกหลายครั้ง คนที่กำลังตั้งใจการปราศรัยและผู้ปราศรัยอาจจะเข้าใจว่ากำลังเชียร์ ในขณะที่แท้จริงแล้ว "สิ่ง" กำลังแยกความสนใจ และต่อจากนั้น "สิ่ง" นี้ก็ชี้นิ้วขึ้นข้างบนซึ่งผู้คนเห็นเป็นสัญญาณจากข้างบนนั่น "ส่งสัญญานให้เราหน่อย"

"สิ่ง" นี้พยายามจะบอกบางอย่าง หรือว่ายิ่งลักษณ์อยู่บนนั้น "สิ่ง"นี้ทำอยู่สักพัก ฝูงชนจับได้แค่เบาะแสที่น้อยมาก ในที่สุด "สิ่ง" นี้ก็หายเข้าไปใน "กล่อง"

เราน่าจะไม่มีโอกาสที่จะรู้ได้เลยว่า "สิ่ง" นี้พยายามที่จะบอกอะไร
