The chilly Republic Day morning will get a dash of warm glamour from the Orient as Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is all set to play the pretty chief guest at the celebrations on Thursday.

The dainty politician from Thailand arrived in the Capital on Tuesday, looking chic yet demurer than her usual fashionable self, in a black pant suit and low heeled loafers. Thailand's first woman Prime Minister, who came to power last year, has already made news for her careful fashion choices.

One look at her Facebook Page photos and one can see her vibrant style personality that is sophisticated and occasion- appropriate all the time.

Style bloggers in Thailand and Indonesia are already clubbing her with fashion superiors Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni.

Her style - being a balance between Michelle's love for the high street and Bruni's love for elegant classics - makes the premier a hit with the fashion police.

On the one hand, her love for Crystal Shopping Mall is compared to Michelle's love for J Crew, on the other, her clear bias for blazers and matching pant and kneelength skirt suits is more akin to Bruni's style.

Her love of blazers is quite wellknown. From ruffled and metallic to kimono style or embroidered - Yingluck loves to mix it up.

Singaporean fashion magazines and Malaysian dermatologists compete to offer tips on how to mimic her shining hair and flawless skin.

In fact, her hair became an issue of national interest while she was campaigning for the Prime Minister's post. Bangkok-based historian Chris Baker spent a lot of time pondering over Yingluck's hairstyle in particular during the election campaign.

'It's been lifted a little at the peak with gel and swept at the tips, but it's designed to look natural, in contrast to the clipped, sprayed and regimented bonnets of senior bureaucrats and army wives,' Baker had written.

At the time, Yingluck was quoted as saying, 'I will utilise my femininity to work fully for our country.'

"ฮิวแมนไรต์วอตช์" ออกรายงานประจำปีตีแสกหน้า "ไทย" ระบุสถานการณ์สิทธิมนุษยชนเสื่อมถอย ชี้ "รัฐบาลปู" เมินสัญญาแก้ปัญหา แถมปกปิดข้อมูลคนชุดดำติดอาวุธยิงประชาชนช่วงชุมนุมมาดำเนินคดี อุ้มตำรวจ-จนท.รัฐฆ่าตัดตอนยาเสพติดและรีดไถต่างด้าว

เมื่อวันที่ 23 ม.ค. ฮิวแมนไรต์วอตช์ ซึ่งเป็นองค์กรเฝ้าระวังสิทธิมนุษยชนนานาชาติ ออกรายงานประจำปีชื่อเรื่องว่า "ประเทศไทย : การเสื่อมถอยของสิทธิ" ว่า การที่ น.ส.ยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร น้องสาวพ.ต.ท.ทักษิณ ชินวัตร อดีตนายกรัฐมนตรี ชนะการเลือกตั้ง ถือเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นเสถียรภาพทางการเมืองครั้งใหม่ แต่รัฐบาลยังไม่ได้ทำตามสัญญาที่จะให้ความสำคัญต่อปัญหาสิทธิมนุษยชน รวมทั้งเหตุการณ์อุทกภัยครั้งร้ายแรงที่สุด ทำให้ประชาชนนับแสนคนไร้ที่อยู่อาศัย และสร้างความเสียหายรุนแรงต่อการดำรงชีวิตและเศรษฐกิจของประเทศ

ในรายงานดังกล่าว ฮิวแมนไรต์วอตช์กล่าวถึงสถานการณ์ในรอบปี โดยแบ่งออกเป็นหัวข้อต่างๆ อาทิ การขาดความรับผิดชอบต่อเหตุการณ์รุนแรงทางการเมือง, การลิดรอนเสรีภาพของสื่อมวลชน และเสรีภาพในการแสดงความคิดเห็น, ความรุนแรง และการละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยชนในจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้, นโยบายต่อต้านยาเสพติด, นักต่อสู้เพื่อสิทธิมนุษยชน, ผู้อพยพ ผู้แสวงหาการลี้ภัย และแรงงานย้ายถิ่น และตัวแสดงที่มีบทบาทสำคัญระหว่างประเทศ

รายงานระบุว่า เหตุการณ์ความรุนแรงทางการเมืองเมื่อเดือน พ.ค.53 เป็นผลจากกองกำลังฝ่ายความมั่นคงใช้กำลังอย่างไม่จำเป็นและเกินกว่าเหตุ, การโจมตีโดยกลุ่มติดอาวุธที่ปฏิบัติการร่วมกับแนวร่วมประชาธิปไตยต่อต้าน เผด็จการแห่งชาติ (นปช.) และการยั่วยุให้เกิดความรุนแรงโดยแกนนำ นปช.บางคน ในเดือน ม.ค.54 กรมสอบสวนคดีพิเศษ (ดีเอสไอ) แถลงผลการสอบสวนเบื้องต้นผู้เสียชีวิต 13 ราย เป็นการกระทำของฝ่ายทหาร อีก 12 รายเป็นการกระทำของกลุ่มติดอาวุธฝ่าย นปช. แต่เมื่อตำรวจไม่ให้ความร่วมมือ ทำให้ไม่สามารถหาสาเหตุการเสียชีวิตและดำเนินคดีอาญาแก่ผู้เกี่ยวข้องได้ น.ส.ยิ่งลักษณ์สัญญาว่าจะยุติความล่าช้าหลังการแต่งตั้ง พล.ต.อ.เพรียวพันธ์ ดามาพงศ์ น้องเขยของ พ.ต.ท.ทักษิณเข้าดำรงตำแหน่ง ผบ.ตร.

"ทางการไทยเปิดเผยข้อมูลเพียงเล็กน้อยเกี่ยวกับการสอบสวนทางอาญา เพื่อนำตัวสมาชิกกลุ่มติดอาวุธชุดดำฝ่าย นปช.มาเข้าสู่กระบวนการยุติธรรม บุคคลจำนวนหนึ่งที่ถูกกล่าวหาว่าโจมตีและสังหารเจ้าหน้าที่ทหาร ตำรวจ และกลุ่มที่เคลื่อนไหวต่อต้าน นปช. ได้รับอนุญาตให้ประกันตัวออกไป นอกจากนี้ รัฐบาลยิ่งลักษณ์ยังปฏิเสธด้วยว่า กลุ่มติดอาวุธชุดดำไม่มีตัวตนอยู่จริง การที่แกนนำคนสำคัญของ นปช. 12 คนได้รับเลือกตั้งเข้ามาเป็น ส.ส.ในสังกัดพรรคเพื่อไทย สร้างความกังวลเป็นอย่างมากว่า บุคคลเหล่านี้จะใช้อิทธิพลทางการเมืองและภูมิคุ้มกันทางรัฐสภา หลบเลี่ยงความรับผิดชอบต่อการกระทำของพวกเขาเมื่อปี 2553”


รายงานระบุต่อว่า รัฐบาลใหม่ก้าวเข้าสู่อำนาจพร้อมกับสัญญาว่า จะให้ความยุติธรรมกับเหยื่อของความรุนแรงที่เกิดขึ้นในปี 2553 แต่ยังไม่มีการดำเนินการใดๆ ที่ตอกย้ำความเชื่อมั่นว่า รัฐบาลนี้จะทำอะไรมากกว่ารัฐบาลที่แล้ว ในการเอาผิดกับทุกฝ่ายที่ละเมิดสิทธิมนุษยช ถึงแม้จะมีการตำหนิรัฐบาลที่แล้วเกี่ยวกับการปราบปรามผู้ที่วิพากษ์วิจารณ์ รัฐบาล แต่รัฐบาลใหม่ก็ไม่ได้แสดงอะไรที่ดีกว่าเกี่ยวกับการเคารพต่อเสรีภาพในการ แสดงออกรัฐบาลยิ่งลักษณ์ใช้บทบัญญัติเกี่ยวกับความผิดฐานหมิ่นสถาบันกษัตริย์ใน ประมวลกฎหมายอาญา และ พ.ร.บ.ว่าด้วยการกระทำความผิดเกี่ยวกับคอมพิวเตอร์ ในการปราบปรามและลงโทษผู้ที่ถูกกล่าวหาว่าวิพากษ์วิจารณ์สถาบันกษัตริย์ คณะทำงานพิเศษที่นำโดยรองนายกรัฐมนตรี เฉลิม อยู่บำรุง ได้เพิ่มการสอดส่องและปิดกั้นอินเทอร์เน็ต โดยมุ่งเป้าไปที่เว็บไซต์และเครือข่ายสังคมออนไลน์ ที่ถูกกล่าวหาว่าส่งเสริมความรู้สึกต่อต้านสถาบันกษัตริย์......

The chilly Republic Day morning will get a dash of warm glamour from the Orient as Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is all set to play the pretty chief guest at the celebrations on Thursday.

The dainty politician from Thailand arrived in the Capital on Tuesday, looking chic yet demurer than her usual fashionable self, in a black pant suit and low heeled loafers. Thailand's first woman Prime Minister, who came to power last year, has already made news for her careful fashion choices.

One look at her Facebook Page photos and one can see her vibrant style personality that is sophisticated and occasion- appropriate all the time.

Style bloggers in Thailand and Indonesia are already clubbing her with fashion superiors Michelle Obama and Carla Bruni.

Her style - being a balance between Michelle's love for the high street and Bruni's love for elegant classics - makes the premier a hit with the fashion police.

On the one hand, her love for Crystal Shopping Mall is compared to Michelle's love for J Crew, on the other, her clear bias for blazers and matching pant and kneelength skirt suits is more akin to Bruni's style.

Her love of blazers is quite wellknown. From ruffled and metallic to kimono style or embroidered - Yingluck loves to mix it up.

Singaporean fashion magazines and Malaysian dermatologists compete to offer tips on how to mimic her shining hair and flawless skin.

In fact, her hair became an issue of national interest while she was campaigning for the Prime Minister's post. Bangkok-based historian Chris Baker spent a lot of time pondering over Yingluck's hairstyle in particular during the election campaign.

'It's been lifted a little at the peak with gel and swept at the tips, but it's designed to look natural, in contrast to the clipped, sprayed and regimented bonnets of senior bureaucrats and army wives,' Baker had written.

At the time, Yingluck was quoted as saying, 'I will utilise my femininity to work fully for our country.'

Indeed, many say she embodies the "suai, ruai, keng" - a Thai description of 'pretty, rich and smart' woman. She looks youthful, confident and at ease and the cameras love her.

วันนี้ ( 25 ม.ค.)เมื่อเวลา 15.00 น. ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น สาธารณรัฐอินเดีย น.ส.ยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร นายกรัฐมนตรีให้สัมภาษณ์ถึงผลการพบกับประธานาธิบดีสาธารณรัฐอินเดียและนัก ธุรกิจไทยในอินเดีย นางประติภา ปาทิล ประธานาธิบดีอินเดีย มีนโยบายลดความเหลื่อมล้ำด้านความยากจน ลดช่องว่างทางรายได้ อีกทั้งยังได้ตั้งกองทุนผู้หญิง ซึ่งคล้ายกับนโยบายของรัฐบาลไทยที่จัดตั้งกองทุนพัฒนาบทบาทสตรี ลดการกดขี่ข่มเหงสตรี แม่และเด็ก ฝึกทักษะสตรี เพราะสตรีมีจุดเด่นที่มีความละเอียด โดยจากสถิติสตรีจะมีเงินออมมาก ดังนั้นจะช่วยส่งเสริมและพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจได้ในทางหนึ่ง นอกจากนี้ ประธานาธิบดีอินเดียยังได้ชื่นชมนายกรัฐมนตรีในฐานะตัวแทนผู้นำคนรุ่นใหม่ ที่เป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้เยาวชนอินเดียที่เป็นประชากรส่วนใหญ่ ร้อยละ 70 ของอินเดีย จากการที่จะได้เข้าร่วมพิธีสถาปนาวันชาติของสาธารณรัฐอินเดียในปีนี้ ซึ่งนายกรัฐมนตรีกล่าวขอบคุณรัฐบาลอินเดียที่ได้เชิญมาร่วมงานพิธีวันสถาปนา รัฐ ซึ่งถือเป็นวันเริ่มต้นของประชาธิปไตยในอินเดีย ในแต่ละปี อินเดียได้เชิญผู้นำประเทศเพียง 1 ประเทศเท่านั้น ซึ่งการที่อินเดียเลือกไทยถือเป็นการแสดงเจตนารมณ์ที่อยากจะให้ประเทศไทย เป็นหุ้นส่วนทางยุทธศาสตร์อย่างแท้จริง

นายกรัฐมนตรี กล่าวอีกว่า ทั้งนี้ภาพรวมนักธุรกิจอินเดียยังมั่นใจที่จะลงทุนต่อในประเทศไทย และขยายฐานการผลิต โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งไทยอยู่ในจุดได้เปรียบในบรรดาประเทศในภูมิภาคอาเซียน ที่จะใช้ไทยเป็นจุดเชื่อมต่อไปยังประเทศเพื่อนบ้านในอาเซียน ซึ่งธุรกิจไทยที่ไปลงทุนในอินเดีย ส่วนใหญ่จะมีปัญหาด้านภาษีศุลกากร ระยะเวลาการออกวีซ่า ซึ่งนายกรัฐมนตรีจะรับข้อเสนอรวมทั้งปัญหาเพื่อไปหารือ และทางรัฐบาลจะตั้งตัวกลางให้เกิดการลงทุนที่เชื่อมโยงและเป็นประโยชน์ สำหรับทั้งสองประเทศ.
